Four months after the resolution of the game (via Hikari`s ending), the entire gang is planning a big Christmas party. However, with the reappearance of Hikari, weird things start to happen in the city of Kazune. How will things turn out?

Sometime in November 2002, minori revealed on its page that they were going to release an omake supplement to Wind -a breath of heart-! The one major feature that was going to be contained in the omake box was a DVD with a brand new animation! This 16 minute original animation 'Christmas Special' is the OVA in Soyokaze no Okurimono (The Gentle Wind`s Gift), which is an omake supplement box based on 2002 Bishoujo game, Wind -a breath of heart-.

This show will not make much sense if you have not played the game. Most of the elements and in-jokes in this work refer to situations that are in the game itself. Additionally, this show will spoil certain arcs of the game. However, the new TV and OVA series, can replace the actual playing of the game as they include everything needed to know. Chronologically, the Special could come after the TV and OVA series (2004), even though it was released in 2002 after the game.
